What is Rock N Roll Craft Show?

Last year, a group of crafty friends saw a need for opportunities to exhibit and sell the fruits of their labor. Over many games of poker (and countless glasses of wine), Heather Visnesky, Jessi Kelley, Krista Durlas, and Sharlene Kindt decided to create their own show, incorporating a rock and roll theme with their interest in the burgeoning craft movement. The women set to work recruiting St. Louis crafters for the department store-style Rock N Roll Craft Show.

The October 2005 show’s website received over 140,000 hits in the weeks leading up the event. The show itself featured over 50 juried artists exhibiting over 1,800 distinctive, handmade items and attracted over 2,000 shoppers in a mere 7 hours.

The second edition of Rock N Roll Craft Show promises to be even more exciting; over 75 artists have been accepted to participate based on the quality and uniqueness of their items, and 10 hometown bands will be rocking the outdoor stage all weekend long. The founding members are also really excited that three new organizers have joined the effort: Meghan McGlynn, Sara Arnold, and Nora Vandivort.
