In the summer of 2005, a group of local crafters saw a need for an exhibition of the work of talented local crafters. They quickly set to work recruiting St. Louis crafters for the the first department store-style Rock n Roll Craft Show. The response to the first exhibition of the show was extraordinary. Over fifty St. Louis craft artists were accepted to participate based on the quality and uniqueness of their items.

The show, held October 22nd from 11a.m. to 6 p.m., attracted over 2,000 visitors in just 7 hours! Sales for the day reached nearly $13,000 with over 1,800 unique, handmade items to choose from. And what an array of items there were: t-shirts, purses, wallets, housewares, ceramics and pottery, jewelry, scarves, home décor items, magnets, clothing, furniture, zines, toys, baby wares, belts and much more. All items are handmade from a variety of new and recycled materials.
